Heat Plate and Ultrasonic Welding
Tulip has a long history using Heat Plate and Ultrasonic welding to seal automotive and commercial battery covers and vents. We maintain a number of welding presses at both facilities that allow us to meet our product and customers' individual needs.
Heat Plate Welding
Heat-plate welding utilizes thermal energy to heat and melt the mating surfaces for welding the two pieces together. The melted parts are compressed together to ensure a permanent and consistent air tight seal. Air testing sealed parts is part of our comprehensive process.
Tulip's Ultrasonic welding joins plastic materials using high-frequency sound waves and pressure. Ultrasonic welds are used on smaller surface areas providing an accurate, precise weld.
