Tulip has been producing cold-formed lead
terminals since 1991 for
internal use and additionally supplies bushings to other molders for use in their cover
molding operations.
Our cold-formed
terminals have many advantages, some of which are as
follows:
- Zero porosity
- Eliminating spitting during post burning, producing cleaner posts
and reducing burning equipment problems.
- Eliminating black posts and corrosion from acid leakage during
battery operation.
- Providing a consistent uniform density throughout the bushing
eliminating voids found during post burning.
- Very smooth clean surface finish
- Providing a clean bright post on the finished battery.
- Providing superior bonding of plastic and lead
at the post and plastic interface.
- Eliminating a porous surface for acid to
contribute to corrosion.
